I closed down iexplorer and things went back all right....PhGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03896698743900139390noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3691419744299351480.post-87852615349024837792008-06-20T18:50:00.000+01:002008-06-20T18:50:00.000+01:00Also see:211124: too easy to hit global GDI handle...Also see:

211124: too easy to hit global GDI handle max on Windows Vista with Sun VM
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=211124Mik Kerstenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00097030325844385383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3691419744299351480.post-83527036861311923792008-06-20T16:22:00.000+01:002008-06-20T16:22:00.000+01:00"No more handles"sounds familiar :)I got this swee..."No more handles"

sounds familiar :)

I got this sweet Windows message after starting using a Nebula widget : CDatetime.
I found that one instance of this widget used 500 handles by itself !!!
Put 20 of this in an editor and...

By the way I didn't checked if this "feature" of CDateTime has been corrected.

Nikos

PS : Process Explorer is great :)Nikoshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18391499974549350895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3691419744299351480.post-59741952391789387022008-06-20T15:41:00.000+01:002008-06-20T15:41:00.000+01:00Standard task manager is not a reasonable tool, be...Standard task manager is not a reasonable tool, because it's incomplete and uses incorrect terminology in naming different things (e.g. memory usage).

Sysinternals (now it's part of Microsoft TechNet) Process Explorer is far superior utility.
